Introduction

Please take the time to read the terms and conditions of Mama's Hostels carefully. Engaging our services involves agreeing and subjecting yourself to these conditions. If you disagree with any of the terms and conditions set out in this section, please refrain from engaging our services.

Types of bookings:

1. Standard bookings made through any booking agent with the use of credit card

2. Standard bookings made by email or by phone confirmed by booking deposit paid to the bank transfer or online secure payment link

3. Group bookings i.e. 10 or more people

Booking deposit

Standard bookings made by email or by phone are confirmed by booking deposit paid by the bank transfer or online secure payment link for 30% of full booking price but this deposit can't be lower than price of the first night of staying. Balance/Remainder payment is made on arrival.

Group bookings are confirmed by booking deposit paid by the bank transfer or online secure payment link for 30% of full booking price but this deposit can't be lower than price of the first night of staying. Please note: Group booking balance/remainder payment must be made via bank transfer or online secure payment link no later than 7 Days prior to arrival. Exception: If the group booking is secured by credit card details balance/reminder payment can be made on arrival

Cancellation Policy

Mama's Hostel cancellation policy is set out to be fair to the client whilst compensating us for lost booking opportunities brought about by the cancellation. Hostel cannot take responsibility for the change of your travel arrangements.

Mama's Hostel will not make exceptions to the cancellation policy due to personal circumstances of the client or force majeure. Personal circumstances include illness, changes in travel plans, travel delays, and any other reasons related to the clients personal circumstances which results in them not being able to fulfill the booking with Mama's Hostel, with the exception of serious illness, serious injury or the death of the client. Force majeure includes war, strikes, natural catastrophes and any other events considered 'acts of God.'

1. Cancellation of Standard bookings made through any booking agent with the use of credit card

Customers can cancel their booking free of charge up to 24 hours before 12 o'clock of the day of guest's arrival. After this date, charges will be applied by the property up to the cost of the first night of the booking. Deposits are non refundable & non transferrable in the event you cancelling or amending a booking.

2. Cancellation of Standard bookings made by email or by phone confirmed by booking deposit paid to the bank transfer or online secure payment link

a) In case of cancellation made no later than 7 days before 12 o'clock of the day of guest's arrival, deposit minus administration fee amounting to 30% of the deposit but not less than 50 PLN will be returned onto client's credit card.

b) In case of cancellation made later than 7 days before 12 o'clock of the day of guest's arrival, booking deposit will be retained in full.

3. Cancellation of group bookings and group reduction in numbers

Cancellation of group bookings

a) In case of cancellation made no later than 30 days before 12 o'clock of the day of group's arrival, booking deposit minus administration fee amounting to 30% of the deposit will be returned onto client's credit card.

b)In case of cancellation later than 30 days before 12 o'clock of the day of group's arrival booking deposit payment will be retained.

c) In case of cancellation later than 7 complete days before 12 o'clock of the day of group's arrival or group no show deposit will be retained and balance payment will be retained or if the reservation was secured by credit card, Hostel will charge this card with the balance payment.

Group reduction in number

Mama's Hostels can accept with no extra charge, reduction in numbers no greater than 20% of the group and notified no later than 7 days before 12 o'clock of the day of group's arrival.

Alternative Accommodation in Krakow

Mama's Hostels reserves the right to change the accommodation booked for another accommodation of equal or higher standard, should the original dorm or room type not be available for any reason. If the room type is replaced for an room type of lower standard, then the difference in cost of renting the original room type and substitute room type will be refunded.

Mama's Hostels reserves the right to cancel unconfirmed (deposit unpaid) reservation. Hostel will not be obligated to organize alternative accommodation for that kind of booking cancellation.

Damage to the hostel accommodation

We will charge for any major damage to our properties or the breakage of any significant items during the visit. Charges will be made in a fair manner to put right the damage, or to replace the broken objects. A spring cleaning charge - 50PLN - will also be made to any guests who are found to have been smoking in nonsmoking areas in our hostels.

Check In/Out Times

Mama's Hostel Main Market Square - check in time is 13 am; check out time is before 11.00 am.

Mama's Doubles - check in time is 2 pm; check out time is before 10.00 am.

Payment

Payments can be made using most major credit cards, bank transfer or cash. Payments must be made in PLN. For bank transfers the sender is responsible for any charges.

Personal Liability

Mama's Hostels under no circumstances take any liability to personal injuries or damages sustained by guests staying at Mama's Hostel. Guests confirm that they have personal insurance that will protect them against any injuries sustained while residing in any room. The liability of Mama's Hostel shall be limited to the total cost of any amount paid for the booking in question and no more.

Personal property Liability

Mama's Hostels under no circumstances takes any liability for movables which weren't been left in a safe deposit box at the reception.

Problems and complaints

Any problems or complaints must be made to Mama's Hostel directly who will respond in a timely manner to rectify the problem as soon as possible.

Should Mama's Hostel representative not respond appropriately or not act reasonably in the rectification of any problems, resulting in a significant disruption to the guest's stay in the room a negotiated discount or refund will be given. The liability of shall be limited to the total cost of any amount paid for the booking in question and no more.
